Saw it this morning and i was enraged.
How many people will buy it or walk past it without noticing?

The world has gone apostrophe MAD.

Our PTA woman is obsessed with her sodding apostrophes in her letters. I keep wanting to collar her and ask why, in her mind, it is logical that she should write "Dad's" with an apostrophe and "Carers" without.

I genuinely think some people are so bloody thick they don't know what an apostrophe is or what it does.

AllFallDown · 11/06/2008 17:51

Our kids' school has a "parent's noticeboard". I have considered asking which parent it's for.

They sold the same last year and my mum bought it for DS.

allgonebellyup · 12/06/2008 10:37

Oh God Wench, this means it has slipped through the net for two years??!! (or do i mean year's ?)

AAAAAAHHHHH, why do so many people find apostrophes so hard?

fryalot · 17/06/2008 08:19

Actually, I think you'll find that the apostrophe itself is correct.

The word "have" should read "had"

It is talking about Mr. Tesco's pet cat, named Zebra, who, in a freak accident with a pair of garden shears and a bottle of hair removal cream has now lost all its stripes.

So the tee shirt should read:

"Zebra's had stripes (but now they have gone)"
