How would you interpret this headline?

How would you have read this byline on a Sky news app article? (See photo).

I read it and had to read it again a few more times. Surely it should say "....less than it would have done a month ago"? Otherwise you would think that less than a month ago you could buy a house for £6700!

How would you interpret this headline?

Common sense & context are important. It makes total sense.

Just for clarity - I did understand it, I didn't really wonder where these magical £6700 houses were 😆 I was just very aware when reading it that it could be interpreted differently depending on how you stressed the word 'less'

Ok this has been bothering me so much so I have searched for the offending article to find out what it is actually about. I take back my last comment and OP you’re right, the sentence is poorly written!
