I'm ashamed to say that I've never grasped parts of speech - is ingratiate a verb and Im I looking for a noun?
I want something with a more elevated tone than "people pleaser".

So you want to say that you constantly seek to ingratiate yourself with others? Why not just say that?

Accommodator? It’s a tricky one, I agree.

@SomeConstellation that's a bit of a mouthful . Wondered if one word could do the job of 7 .
@ShaunaOfTheDead accommodator .. not bad , thank you.

To my mind, ‘people-pleaser’ has less negative connotations than ingratiate (verb). The first indicates you don’t want to upset anyone, the second implies a self-serving agenda of worming your way in, so it depends what you’re trying to convey about yourself.

If you just mean you try to fit in and go with the flow, then you might describe yourself as a chameleon.

Thank you @maudelovesharold , good points.
I think I'll stick with people pleaser .

If you feel stuck in the “fawn response,"
you're likely experiencing a trauma response involving people-pleasing to avoid conflict or harm by appeasing others.
