No, you weren't pissed.

You were pissed off.

I have seen this a lot on here, and it gets my dander up.

I thank you.

SheikYerbouti · 04/06/2008 17:02

No, FAQ.

I was just pointing something out which grates when I hear it.

I swear like a navvy and have a Brummie accent.

Have you been and said this on all of the other Pedants' Corner threads?

OP posts:
SheikYerbouti · 04/06/2008 17:02

FAQ · 04/06/2008 17:04

ermm no I hardly ever venture onto the Pedants' threads, especially since I've "lost" the dictionary function on Firefox....

SheikYerbouti · 04/06/2008 17:07

Lol, it's very useful.

My typing is much better ever since I turned it on and it points out my errors with angry red lines.

Sorry I was prickly - I am currently going through a phase of thinking "FGS, can I not post anything without causing offence?"

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 04/06/2008 17:07

Gets mine up too. It is wrong.

Americans saying "jeez, dude, I was real pissed at my mom" I can just about handle, because Americans say things wrong all the time. They can't even get the bloody date in the right order or spell "colour".

But British people saying it - Noooooooo way!

SheikYerbouti · 04/06/2008 17:08

(BTW, look in "Tools" and then "add ons")

OP posts:
FAQ · 04/06/2008 17:40

SheikYerbouti · 04/06/2008 19:13
