I just saw a new word on a job description “glocalization” which I assumed was a typo until I looked it up. As in, “Employee will be responsible for glocalization of training materials”
It is “a combination of globalization, and localization” and is “the process of adapting global assets for local needs”.
Now forgive me if I’m wrong, but surely the perfectly good word “localization” already served that purpose!
And unironically, the definition gave the alternative of Glocalisation for us Brits.
