Of course you won't.

Melting is what happens when things get hot.

When things get wet and disappear it's called dissolving.

May I suggest the following, ahem....

'Your outer layer of skin is made up of a substantial number of dead, keratinous, cells that will allow you to walk in the precipitation without taking in water in its liquid state. Your hydrophilic plasma membrane phospholipids are quite safe at this temperature and pressure'

I always say this BUT only because the wicked witch screeched 'I'm melting' after getting it in the face with a bucket of water.
It is never meant as - you will melt because you get wet. that would be silly.

I made the mistake of mentioning this thread to DH yesterday.

He thought about it for a minute and then said "If you were made of 90% wax and 10% sodium then you would melt in the rain".

We need to get out more
