Somebody please tell the BBC it’s siXth! Pronounced “sicksth” NOT “sicth”.
Grrr!

When I say just ‘six’ on its own, I’m pronouncing it ‘sicks’. So it’s just adding a very light ‘th’ on at the end.

This link has lots of people from various places saying the word. Some people seem to almost lisp when they say it, which doesn’t sound great imho. I’m Irish and saying it doesn’t seem to be an issue here for some reason. There’s no lisping involved anyway that I’ve noticed.

Hmmm. Saying sicks-th sounds all kinds of wrong to me. Like I said six and then realised I meant sixth. Oh well.
