How do you alou someone to do something?

As that's what they're implying when they write this! I read on another thread that someone is not aloud out by their partner and they're defiantly going to finish with them.

I think it's a bit mean to comment in those threads about bad grammar, though it seems people who write this, and a lot do, don't understand construction of words which to me seems obvious.

If you asked them to spell the word allow I bet they'd get that right, so why aloud?

I also don't understand why finishing the relationship is defying the partner either ...

Because aloud and allowed are pronounced the same way and many people have trouble with spelling homophones.

Some people have dyslexia etc.

There is a wealth of academic research about spelling difficulties. It's not easy, just as for some maths is not easy, and map reading, and spatial awareness - human brains are so varied.

You are right not to comment in threads as doing that is the height of bad manners.
