Tagline for Domino's pizza chain. Arrgghh!

Aside from the appalling grammar, what exactly do they 'have'?!

Does it mean "We've got this"?

They have bad grammar? They have laziness? They have the inability to use an apostrophe? They have trendiness?

To be fair to them, they do use the apostrophe correctly in "Domino's Pizza", so I apologise a very little for the stern-ness of my earlier post.

It's just the American use of the past simple where British English would use the present perfect.

Fine - in America. If they want to mangle the English language, that's up to them. Doesn't mean we have to lump it over here though.

Well, no. It's "fine", as in perfectly correct use of English. It was us, btw, "mangling". The American English usage lots of people hate so much is the original usage taken over with the first settlers.

Would you change over to use the present perfect in place of the past simple (and vice versa) as a British English speaker if you were visiting the US?

If so, that's very thoughtful of you. If not, then why should Americans (whether they be individuals, or companies) do it?

I have more of a problem with McDonald's "loving it" tbh. Which is, technically, far less correct- though, as a descriptivist, it's hard to put absolute values of "correctness" onto usage . David Crystal doesn't, so neither should we.

Back to "We Got This"
Is the meaning of it the same as "We've got this" or "We have this", OR does it mean that we wanted this for some time and eventually "We got it"?
By the way, what have they got? What is it that they have?

Does McDonald's "loving it" mean "We are loving it", whatever 'it' is?

There are so many past tenses with so many different names, according to one's age and places of education.
So if they say 'we got this' do you understand it be the past tense as in "Yesterday we got three letters"?

Thank you for responses everyone! I just actively dislike the word 'got', especially when in conjunction with 'have', as it is unnecessary (and an 'ugly/harsh shounding' word)

Don't worry OP, you got this!

Sorry- I couldn't stop myself. Yes, it's terribly annoying. It sounds a bit like they think they've solved everything with pizza.
