Swap swop

They're interchangeable, aren't they? You can swap them. They are swappable. They can be swapped. But I don't like it being spelled with an 'o'. It just looks silly. Especially typed as swoppable or swopped. Please could everyone just use swap? Thank you.

You lot posting on here and being confident that swop is not an option, have you checked a dictionary?? Lexico has swap, with swop as an option.

Swop is an acceptable variant but it's rarely used these days. I much prefer swap; I agree swop looks odd.

I assumed swap and wuss were correct and saw the others on here and assumed an error, but they're variants.

I don't think I like woose. Looking at it, I want to pronounce it like moose.
