Hmm. Pressurised. I think.

EffiePerine · 07/12/2007 15:48

under pressure

flack · 07/12/2007 16:42

I hate "pressurised". Why say it when pressured or even pressed will do? But I'm a Yank, so what do I know?

SquonkaClaus · 07/12/2007 16:43

I think that you could be pressured into doing something you weren't keen on, and you could go underwater in a pressurised submarine

PennyBenjamin · 07/12/2007 16:50

Agree with Squonka - if you are under pressure you are pressured, but if air is under pressure it is pressurised.

Blandmum · 07/12/2007 16:51

Pressurised is a gas under pressure. So a pressurised gas container, the sort of thing you don't puncture, or it goes off with a BANG.

Kathyate6mincepies · 07/12/2007 16:56

I am pressurised, and may go off with a bang.

Blandmum · 07/12/2007 16:57

me too, thinking about it!

And my trousers. they are pressurised as well

Kathyate6mincepies · 07/12/2007 16:58

If they had pressurised helium in them, could you float? (Upside-down, obviously)

Blandmum · 07/12/2007 17:02

Not enough room, Kathy, not enough room!

But an amusing thought
