If I see this one more time someone will regret it!

Edition?

Ffs. Some people are really very stupid.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 29/07/2012 15:08

It irritates the hell out of me.

OatyBeatie · 29/07/2012 15:10

Ha. Never seen this, but it makes me think I would like a new family edition -- corrected and abridged.

Thumbwitch · 29/07/2012 15:10

I get a small pain in my stomach whenever I see some of the recurrent spelling mistakes on here.

loose for lose
viscious for vicious
wonder for wander
and loads more that don't immediately spring to mind.

Can't say I'd seen the one you've picked, hotchoice - but anyway.

FrankWippery · 29/07/2012 15:11

You're actually being serious aren't you. Bloody hell.

I saw 'tow the line' yesterday. Something else as well which was so awful I've forgotten it.

LaurieFairyCake · 29/07/2012 15:12

This can be used deliberately though. A new 'edition' being the new book of the family.

hotchoice · 29/07/2012 15:14

I wind myself up just going on Facebook for two minutes. Lots of people need short, sharp slaps to the face.

OP posts:
FrankWippery · 29/07/2012 15:15

Yes but surely a new edition is an updated version of a previous one. Not really applicable to a new child?

LaurieFairyCake · 29/07/2012 15:18

Not if the family is the book and the new edition either a new chapter or a new book entirely on it's own as an update to the family.

It's a shitey metaphor, not saying I agree at all - just saying it could be minorly clever wordplay.

hotchoice · 29/07/2012 15:20

Perhaps, Laurie, but unlikely. Especially as every one of them have children called Cam'ron or Lexeiee. Gross.

OP posts:
peeriebear · 29/07/2012 15:20

'Appauling' really grates my cheese.

LaurieFairyCake · 29/07/2012 15:22

Your spell checks not working hotchoice - those aren't words [wink

Lexieeeeee - wtf!

laptopwieldingharpy · 29/07/2012 15:27

Is the new edition a print or an original?

Fairenuff · 29/07/2012 15:28

Should of

aaarrgh!!

It's should have, people, should have

hotchoice · 29/07/2012 15:31

Ha ha ha I HATE 'should of'
And spaces before and between punctuation ! ! !

OP posts:
FrankWippery · 29/07/2012 15:35

Should of, would of, could of.

DaisySteiner · 29/07/2012 16:11

I quite like 'appauling' (I have an ex called Paul who fits the description Grin)

MaryHansack · 29/07/2012 16:16

these things are very annoying, but we should grit our teeth and remember that people who are not good with words are probably better at something else, that we could be rubbish at.

CJCregg · 29/07/2012 16:16

This is so awful it's actually funny. But then I haven't actually seen it. If I saw it, I would definitely get stabby.

CJCregg · 29/07/2012 16:18

Grrr - two actuallys. Posting anything in this topic is bloody terrifying Grin

Astr0naut · 29/07/2012 16:19

alot.

It's not 'adog' or 'acat', so how the fuck can it be 'alot'?

Although watch me eat my words in 100 years when everyone uses it and we've forgotten the original reason behind the spelling.

Thumbwitch · 30/07/2012 02:49

the Alot just in case you haven't come across this before, Astr0naut. Grin

sagesponsoredbymacdonalds · 30/07/2012 02:59

I loved your link, thumbwitch I laughed alot

Thumbwitch · 30/07/2012 03:11

You can spend hours on that website, sage - I highly recommend the God of Cake as well, but so many of them are brilliant!

BlueSuedeStiletto · 30/07/2012 03:32

'It had a terrible effect on me'

'It doesn't really effect me'

The red hot anger that flashes through me when I see or hear this is beyond description. Aaaaaaargh!
