Where to put the 's' to indicate plural?

Am writing some copy for a client, and stumbling over this tricky one. There are too many blinking adjectives included in the vehicle name, but AFTER the normal noun placement.

Jeep Wranglers Sahara Unlimited
or
Jeep Wrangler Saharas Unlimited
or
Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimiteds (prob not)

Nope, I still have no clue. I thought I was good at these things. If anyone has a clue and can help, please don't keep it to yourselves. Thanks a million.

what's the sentence? (if there is one..)

ClaireBunting · 19/06/2012 07:10

Normally you would put it after the noun.

However, it sounds like you are trying to plural proper names (should you be doing this?) so I think it could go at the end.

Or I would just rewrite the whole sentence to avoid the dilemma.

Unfortunately this is the name given by the manufacturer, so I can't just rewrite it.

TanteRose, the sentence would be: There will also be weekly gift voucher prizes worth XX as well as grand prizes of two Jeep Wrangler Saharas Unlimited.

Isn't it awful?!

"Two people will each win a Jeep Grand Sahara Unlimited"

???

TanteRose · 19/06/2012 07:40

"There will also be weekly gift voucher prizes worth XX as well as a grand prize draw for two lucky winners who will each receive a Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited"

(incorporating Purple's idea Smile)

Two grand prizes of a jeep wrangler sahara unlimited. It should probably be "two jeeps wrangler Sahara unlimited" but it sounds a bit awkward.

JustAddWine · 19/06/2012 07:43

That works, or "... as well as two grand prizes of a Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited"?

Catsmamma · 19/06/2012 07:43

i think you have to go with the "two people will each win" option, otherwise it sounds like the prize is two jeeps for one person

JustAddWine · 19/06/2012 07:45

Opps, cross posts with Agent. We can't both be wrong though, eh? Grin

SoupDragon · 19/06/2012 07:47

Yes, go with "Two people will each win a Jeep..."

I often find that, if a sentence is becoming tricky or unwieldy, it's best to write it a different way.

shrimponastick · 19/06/2012 07:51

Grand prizes of two Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimiteds - as that is the full title of the car.

Doesn't quite sound right though. hmmmmmm....

Do you have to put in the 'unlimited' ?

AgentProvocateur · 19/06/2012 08:27

justaddwine great minds...

JumeirahJane · 19/06/2012 11:15

Yup, I think the workaround is the only solution. You are all wonderful and I bow to your creative thinking.
