I'd like to tactfully point out that it's etc, not ect to anybody who is confused by the arrangement of the three letters.

Yes a child draws on paper (or walls even) but you put your smalls in a chest of drawers (or at least I do!).

I thought I'd point it out just incase we have a repeat of the apostrophe problem ie sometimes a word needs an apostrophe before the s but I'm beggared if I know when so I'll just bung one in every time and hope for the best. It's wise to be absolutely clear I find. Otherwise, we'll end up with threads titled 'what's that toy that drawers shapes for you'.

I work in an industry where we talk about drawers a lot but the majority of my (clever and well-educated - we're talking Ph.D's here) colleagues write "draw" on their charts/documents.
I put it down to the English accent. In Ireland we actually pronounce the letter r, so no one would ever make that mistake.

I have just remembered that when I was little I used to get post lorders for my birthday. I didn't knoiw what a lorder was apart from the fact that it was money.........

I am sure I make plenty of mistakes when I post here. It's not because I don't know the right word/spelling, it's because I type really quickly, whilst watching TV and thinking about other things. I don't proof read because it's a 'chat board' and I can't be arsed bothered.

I used to proof read (for money), but don't any more, I think I spent too much time on MN and thus don't 'see' the mistakes so much anymore! That's not to say I don't get the urge to correct some things - but I only ever do that to posters who are being complete wankers!
