Hi

Looking for advice from clever MNers please

It is dd's birthday the last week of term. On her actual birthday she has a Year Two Leavers Party, which all the Year Twos will be going to. Was hoping that she would be happy with that but she still wants a Birthday Party of some description...

I have a long term health problem which means I have limited energy, but feel I should try to organise something for her.

She said she'd quite like to make fairy gardens with some friends, but it would be with about 8 girls, which a. would be a squeeze in our tiny house and b. means I'd have to make sure the house was clean and tidy, using up most of my energy before we've even held the party Would prefer to do something away from home, but have a limited budget...

Feel there must be a solution, but can't work it out. Any ideas???

What about organising a picnic, with some games and activities.

Can someone help you move things around?

A friend did bowling for her dd's 7th and hired a limo. I think we'd have been just as happy without the limo....

Thank you for replying!

I did consider a picnic, but worry about the weather - last year it rained cats and dogs. My lovely dh will fetch and carry, but I'll end up with the running of it all...

Dd recently went to a bowling party and TBH it wasn't really her thing. Thank you for the idea though

Cinema followed by Macdonald's relatively stress-free and of course weather-proof. A lot have cinema have cheap children's films on Saturday mornings.

Apparently Pizza Express pizza making parties are great, but don't know the price sorry.

Cinema is a great idea liliputlady! Will ring our local Odeon and ask what they're showing. Actually there's a pizza place next door, so that would be an easy follow on...

Dd has just said she fancies a swimming party, but that's neither easy (all the dressing and undressing) and would need extra bodies in the pool... Will float the cinema idea by her!
