Beano Party - help!

DS wants a beano party for his 10th birthday. We are having it at home - 9 10yos plus DD who is 7. DS loves traditional type games, so I am trying to think of ways to adapt them to fit with the Beano theme, however not too messy as we will be indoors in January!

For example - pass the stinkbomb rather than pass the parcel, with forfeits in each layer

chubby bunny marshmallow game , but saying dennis the menace instead of chubby bunnies

competition to make the loudesy noise with a whoopee cushion - winne gets to keep the cushion

guess the gloop - various odd mixtures of food stuffs, with added colourings - guess what they are - with added threat of person with least right having to taste one?

thought about Minnie's Magic - DH and I doing some magic tricks - black magic, pass these scissors crossed to see if they can guess the pranks.

The party is for 2 hours, will need more games than that, so, please, any silly and fun ideas?

thanks

We will be playing 'Don't eat Tommy Smartie' on Saturday afternoon, having seen the game mentioned on here.

Will post link.

Must be adaptable to Beano theme!

Tommy Smartie instructions

And the funniest thing is, when I saw the thread title I though, "They want PandaG" only to realise it was you who'd posted it!

I thought

ta v much - I'm thinking rolos and don't eat Gnasher's poo!

very funny you thought of me, I've come up with a fair few ideas, but know I need more to fill the party, after the big success of the Katz inspired science party last year I need some cracking ideas to keep the boy happy!

If I want to make sponge in the Silverwood tin, using the whole thing how many eggs do I need? I looked on their website and it said 20 . Is that right?

PandaG · 12/01/2010 17:59

depends how deep you want the cake PT.

I reckon 20 eggs sounds about right, have just looked in a couple of my decorating books and one says 4 eggs and 1 5 eggs for a 6" square, so that's 16-20 for the 12". How deep do you want it, and what are you doing with it?

I'd be inclined to mix up the 20 eggs worth, and make buns with any extra mix if it looks too full!

I am making lego blocks for a lego themed party. Will split my tin into 3rds, and then split one third/two thirds the other way (If you have any idea what I mean!).

Discovered lovely cake decorating shop not far away this afternoon - could've spent a fortune on stuff I'd never use!

yep, can visualise what you mean - sounds fab!

I bought nativity cookie cutters last half term, with good intentions for Christmas, never used!
