Should I get a present when not invited to the party but my DS received a present?

My DS had his party last week and a DD who was invited but couldn't come brought him a present. Its the DD's party this week and she hasn't invited my DS - its an all girls party! They've known each other since babies and so far have always gone to each other parties. Should I still get her a present?

No, if it's a school thing - I only buy presents when he goes to parties, not if he's not invited.

Something small would be nice. You can always suggest to Mum/Dad to stop next year if they're not so friendly by then.

I would say yes, something small and personal maybe with a nice drawing from your DS. Or invite her over for tea and bake a little cake for her to share with your DS?

I usually buy a pressie for my DD's friends that she has known since they were babies. This is regardless of whether she attends or is invited to their parties and their parents do the same. It mainly because I'm friends with the mums and have seen the children grow up. The children see each other a few times a year so they are not the best of friends, but they know each other so well they get on well and I'd like them to keep in touch.
