LOL at plant mould!

I would be quite taken by them I think. And pleased about the additional nutritional value.

Go for it.

She would try and bring it back to life, before carefully burying it in her overflowing animal cemetary.

We had another row about a dead shrew yesterday, she insists it's more important to bury them lovingly (and slowly) than get to school on time. I said, it can always be chucked in the bin, you know. Not acceptable to dd1

(you can see why I don't notice slight oddities in children, my 9yo girl is more excited by dead bugs and rodents than live ponies.)

KnickersandVests · 08/09/2009 11:17

They are revolting.........and brilliant.

OrmIrian · 08/09/2009 11:19

Brilliant! DS#2 would eat it though

My 8 year old would LOVE them - and your child's street cred will zoom up the scale!

I've seen them in shop, though and they are mega expensive, so I suspect you may have to think again.

Oh god, the dead shrew

I confess to a small double take when she showed me the one she had in a box

but it shows a very nurturing and compassionate nature, you know

as well as an interesting forensic mind

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 08/09/2009 11:23

sorry OP, hijacked there

Fennel · 08/09/2009 11:26

We would make our own (arty, bug-loving, recycling and frugal household).

hatwoman · 08/09/2009 12:58

but not with shrews in surely???

surprisenumber3 · 13/09/2009 21:45

moon66 - it's selfridges, I saw them there too

My kids would be fascinated with them but I can see why some parents and children would be offended.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 13/09/2009 21:46

How bloody disgusting!

Nobody tell my children such things exist!
