This year reception seem to be hit by the old credit crunch and parties have been few and far between and joint ones when the whole class has been invited.
DD has to have a party, poor thing she's been to enough of her sisters but I can't afford the whole class.
I've asked her if she wants just the girls, she doesn't she wants some boys too, but this would leave out just 4 girls from the whole class.
Can I get away with this so early in proceedings when we're all still bonding/getting to know each other ?

Personally, I wouldn't leave out just 4 - but would set a lower number, agree that 10 would be a good figure. Do something like a soft play party where the numbers would be less noticeable.

It is soft play god help me.

One child is horrible and isn't coming no matter what.
Just reread the OP and it's meant to say there are 16 girls in the class 12 of which she wants to invite and there are about 6 boys invited. Not 4 out of everyone iyswim.
Hopefully only 10 will turn up and I'm thinking of sending a party bag in for the ones who aren't invited maybe ?
