Is this going to be good enough for 5yos party?

Likely to be approx 25 4 - 6 yos there.

basic plan is a bouncy castle and an inflatable slide for 1 hour ( indoor ) plus footballs available to kick about.

Then another hour for eating then dancing and traditional games.

Is that enough?

Should I set up a craft table for the 2nd hour for the ones who don't want to run around anymore, or maybe do it in the first hour for the ones who aren't so active?

Also, do you think a big inflatable slide is going to be a hit or would we be better off with organised sports things like races, football etc. I am conscious that there will be 4 los there who have SN and might not be able to manage the slide, so I don't know if they will be bored with just the bouncy castle ( they will be OK on that ).

That sounds fab! What about organising games for the bouncy castle?

Have lots of fun!

I would personally just do the bouncy castle , footballs and craft table all in the first hour.
As you will need to closely supervise the inflatables.
I would then just do party games for everyone otherwise they may wander off to other actvities during the games.

It sounds great. I would do a craft table too to be honest. You don't have to go to town on it, just paper, felt tips, stickers, scissors etc. We did that for DS when he was that age and there was always a couple at the craft table having a bit of quiet time when it all got a bit much

Having a craft table at the same time as the bouncy castle will work well for the shy ones. It's even worth keeping it there for during the games as there are usually one or 2 who don't want to join in.
I'd do the games after the bouncy castle ... IME, the noise of the bouncy castle makes it impossible to do games unless you switch it off. Also, if you want to round up the kids, it's easiest if the castle is off.
Have fun.

Thanks ladies - I have been out buying crafty things today as i am sure that will be popular - all kids love making a sticky mess don't they? I can't believe how nervous I am getting about this, and it is still 7 weeks away!
