What to put in child's party food boxes?

I've ordered lovely pink food boxes for dd's 5th party at the weekend. It's in a hall so plenty of table space but thought it would be easier to prepare at home. Now I'm struggling with what to put in them that will be easy to open and HEALTHY-ISH. Obviously there's sandwiches, carton of drink and I'm thinking a babybel. However, any ideas what else please - or perhaps I should put bowls of crisps and plates of cakes down separately? Don't really want to put a whole packet of crisps in each box and cakes will get mushed up??

Ideas Please!

We are doing similar - am also putting in boxes of raisins, small bag of mini cheddars, and 2 x tin foil parcels of little sausages and grapes.

Then will hand round cake/biscuits on trays.

we always made mini pizzas instead of sandwiches as they got eaten up better. We have also put cherry tomatoes in, cucumber and carrot sticks and a homemade cake. it also a good idea to include a napkin in it as well as some children eat on the floor!

For DD's last party I did boxes, so much easier than plates and buffet.

I did pitta pockets with cheese and tomato and one with egg mayo, a box of raisins, small bag of veg crisps (35p in boots) and a ginat cookie

The cake was a cupcake one so each child got one to take home.

I got some little teacups from Ikea and filled them with fruit salad and covered them in clingfilm. The 'party bag' was the cup with a little pot of red ceramic paint and a brush.

Then I had chocolate and strawberry milkshakes on the table.

one thing SnackAttack - do a trial run with everything in the box - I found that the boxes were too heavy with a drink carton in them and tended either to be difficult to close or too heavy ... so we served drinks separately .. everyone just queued up and took a party box and a carton of drink each + water to order

We had mini baby belles
Tiny tub of chopped up fruit salad (without strawberries and kiwi because of allergies and no grapes cos of poss. choking but I'm paranoid/over-anxious type) which I did myself to keep down expense - melon, pineapple, apple, skinless orange, a few red berries whatever in season (got tubs in bulk from an office/catering warehouse place - enough to last for next 3 yrs!!)
A tiny yoghurt and plastic spoon (bit messy)
Mini bag pringles
Two tiny sausages in foil/or tiny ham sandwich

I think at five they could handle mini brochettes made on half of plastic straw of cheese and chipolata tomato combinations or different combinations of fruit

Agree mini pizzas also v. good - could make at home in big tray to cut down on costs and cut up small with pair of scissors ...

Hope your dd has a lovely day

ginat? he he

giant.

I had 'hedgehogs' on the table aswell with cocktail sticks with mini sausages, pickled onions, cheese and tinned pineapple (more for nostalgia reasons)
