Will a party for a 2yr old be too much?

My son will be 2 in a couple of months and I was wondering whether to have a party for him. (for DS1 we had a joint party around a friends house for his 2nd.)
This time around our house is too small for a party. I only wanted to invite about 10ish between 2-5yrs but am not sure of what to do.

Obviously the difference in ages makes party games hard to do esp for the younger ones. so I thought going to soft play? or hire a hall & bouncy castle? but then im worried about cost. its only his 2nd so didnt want to over pay.

Anyone with any ideas of what to do, etc? Or should I just stick to a quiet family party?

it all depends on your 2 YO

i wouldn't have 10 2-5 year olds in my house but thats more my choice than the house being too small

LOL thats another reason why im not sure whether to do it.

My house is def too small but then its trying to keep them entertained for at least an hour without pulling my hair out LOL.

Ten is alot to have in the house especially with parents to. why not hire a hall to mark the ocassion but to keep cost down take toys etc for the younger ones and play games for the older ones. Kept the games simple and you might be surprised how the younger ones can join in.Pin the tail on the donkey(blue tac), passs the parcel, muscial bumps and something like Guess the sound(tray of objects that they can not see). Make up a simple trivia quiz What sound does a dog make. Of course all of this can be done at home. I've done it before the house was a mess afterwards but not wracked and I was really exhausted but good fun was had by all.
