'Secret Agent' party for 6yos - anyone care to come up with 'missions' for me?

Pleeeeeease?

It has to be missions, not training, as apparently they "don't want to train to be secret agents, we want to just be secret agents"

so far my thoughts are:

designing/completing their own IDs
sneak up on the supervillain (grandfather's footsteps)
..and vague thoughts about some sort of dressing up race

They will be in teams (I think) and each team will be trying to find all the bits of a code which will unlock something (a box-based safe) which will contain their party bags - I was thinking of them collecting bits of jigsaws.

All inspiration welcome!

Yes, being scared of popping balloons wouldn't make that an ideal game! Unless the thought of finding "treasure" in them helped your DD become less scared. You can give your DM a task elsewhere

stealthsquiggle · 23/09/2008 11:49

DD is only 23mths so I think she will be DM's 'task'

(note to self - stop obsessing about DS's party and find time to panic about DD's which is much closer )

Oh but parties for 2 year olds are far less exciting

stealthsquiggle · 23/09/2008 12:21

Not to mention easier, smaller, and cheaper - however I do need to invite people, make a cake, and make sure the poor child has a couple of presents

These ideas are awesome! Such a shame DD is only 2.8!

I wanna Spy Party!

EachPeach DS had a 'monster' party for his 3rd birthday

Yeah, but I'm not really into monsters!

I did a Secret Seven party once. Was ace.

Here's one we did. A whole load of balloons in teh garage, kids had to pop them all and were looking for two clues which were inside two of the balloons.

Very noisy, great fun. The clues were about things they had to look for to get th enext clue. I had a fake dog poo in the garden and one clue was hidden inside it. What a laugh we had.

pointydog · 23/09/2008 19:31

I made up a cartoony newspaper report about three suspects. Then the kids ran around the garden looking for clues which told them who the culrprit was. (Barney McGroo who drank irn broo, wore an eye patch and had a siamese cat)

pointydog · 23/09/2008 19:32

oh somone has mentioned balloons. Yes, did a spy kit for a party bag plus one of those little LED light key rings for reading in the dark

robinpud · 23/09/2008 19:34

Talcum powder finger prints to match to the culrpit- footprints to match to culprit

sound effects tape for them to listen to and identify all noises

map from memory- have map of crime scene on baord hidden from sight. Each team sends 1 person at a time to look at the map; then after a 10 second look they return to their team and tryr and draw what they remember. Person 2 then comes up for a 10 second look. After each memeber has had 2 looks, which team has got the most info on their own map?

Kim's game with evidence tray which has been tampered with- ie which piece is missing?

stealthsquiggle · 23/09/2008 21:17

robinpud I am having to be very careful not to cross the line (in DS's head) between 'secret agent' and 'detective' . More great ideas though - thanks PD and RP
