A marquee for a 1st birthday? Blimey.

Sorry, I have nothing constructive to add, I'm just guiltily remebering my own dcs' 1st birthdays...

Good for you, hope you raise a lot of money for the charity. Good luck with it.

Cannot help with the marquee though as I am in Germany

how large/how many people? When I investigated marquees once they started at around £300 to hire a small one (cant remember if that included the VAT either) but you can buy those large gazebos from Argos (6m by 3m) for about £60 or £70 and we put 2 of those together instead and have been able to reuse them in later years for other things. But obv depends how large you need it to be.

If all you want is a bog standard marquee, it may be worth contacting your local scout/guide groups. They may have one they rent out, and are slightly cheaper than marquee companies. If they don't rent it, ask if they will for a donation.

always talk to an expert and they can direct you as to how to get the best value for their budget and needs.

I talked to www.3dmarquees.com they are recognised as a leader in outdoor events and marquee hire for outdoor weddings, parties and even corporate events, and I know i saved time, money, and gained peace of mind and some excellent savings due to their industry contacts
