Its sunday. my house is v small, have 9 kids coming, a few from dd5's class, and the rest made up of other friends' children. Informal, like last 2 yrs, mainly using the garden which is not large, and then the kids coming in to get plates of food, and going back out to eat on picnic tables.

If it wasn't raining it would be ok. Last 2 yrs were sunny and great, as most mums stayed for it and we all got pissed in the garden.

Was just gonna have buble maker, balloons and face painting.

If I cancel is it naff. If I do it, how can we fit in house!!! arghhh am getting nervous

I cancelled a couple of weeks ago when snow was forecast, mainly cos I had booked a bouncy castle, I rescheduled for the following wednesday and then it snowed that day too, if you do go ahead put a big basket of wellies and hats by the back door so it is clear it is ok for them to go out, and a mat by the door

Ring round and see if any halls are available at short notice?

Can you fit just the 9 hildren in - and then ask the parents to leave them with you?

I wouldn't cancel. My friend last year had to change venue at very short notice due to the weather . Everything was moved to our local village hall . Its an option as they are usually very cheap to hire,i.e. ours is £12.
better then cancelling in my opinion HTH

Hmm, I guess they won't mind a dull day, so will wait til tommorrow so I can get the 5 day forecast, or knowing me I will be on here at one min past midnight!!

I think I am just nervous of what to do with them if they all have to come inside. my budget is very small, hence the outdoor thing being great, with sandpit, and the bubble etc....

I can't hire a hall now, its too short notice, very small town. The kids will be 4x 6 yr olds, 2x 5 yr lds, a 9 yr old and a 2 yr old. There will be 3 mums for def, my sis, and my parents.

breathe in everyone!!

Wellies is prob a good idea!!

Arts & crafts can be good. www.bakerross.co.uk has a great selection and it's pretty cheap...
