Garden party or soft play

Hey,

so our DS will turn 5 in 2 weeks, we were originally going to book a soft play for only about 14kids which some are cousions, kids of our best friends and 3 of his mates from football, he gets on with all the 14 kids (3 are toddlers though) but now I’m thinking maybe I should save the money and rent a bouncy castle and do it at home like we have the last 2 years, it’s about 200gbp cheaper and I know that next year he would love a party with his school friends (24 kids ) 😂 which I wouldn’t be able to do at home, I think either way he would love it but I feel a tad bit guilty not doing one now as he’s been saying he wants a party (he’s still going to have one and he always had a blast the last 2 years)

money isn’t such a problem but I don’t like wasting it and I am cautious on how we spend it.

also weather not an issue we have a large part which is covered and useable in any weather.

thanks

What will you do if it rains? Which it seems to be doing every single day at the moment.

I would go with soft play so any mess wasn't in my house.

Soft play. There's absolutely no way I'd do a garden party in October! My nephew had one in July and even then it chucked it down all day.

Yes weather is not an issue sorry I should have edited it, we have a large part which is covered and can be used like we did the last 2 years. Thanks

It will be freezing in October. In our area witj only 2 weeks to go you would struggle to find some where with space for a party booking.

It's not just the potential for rain though. It will most likely be absolutely freezing outside and people will want to congregate indoors.

As you're lucky enough to have a covered garden, do that. You'll have to fork out next year so make the most of it!

Home party all the way esp as you have covered space. If I could still get away with it with my 7 year old (early sept birthday) I would. Bouncy castle and home would be my preference.
This year was the first non home party I did for my DS and missed just being at home for it.

Yes exactly my thoughts I know that from next year parties will have to be at venues and I feel it’s my last year pulling it off at home.
