So thought I had it all clear in my head but am now starting to panic a bit..

16 x 4 year olds 95% boys.

Have planned,
Pin the pirate on the treasure map Cannon Ball Run - we have 2 huge tubes from recent flooring project and tennisballs for relay race game
Treasure Hunt for gold chocolate coins round the garden if weather permits.
Muscial Statues rolling Ball game & lucky Dip - instead of pass the parcel

They will be here for 2.5 hours, adding free play time and time for food and cake, do you think that we have enough to keep them occupied?

They are all coming dressed as Pirates.

Am making the cake tomorrow, decorating it on Friday (his actual birthday)

Do I need to send in treats for snack time at school on Friday?

Argh.. feel it is all a little out of control!

Sounds plenty to me!The free play will probably take up more time than you expected anyway. At dd's 4th party recently most of them just wanted to play made up games and run around (we also had bouncy castle though).
I think I would send in treats as well unless they were all coming to the party

They are not all coming to the party.. what is an appropriate treat? Mini Muffins? would prefer to stay away from chocolate.

I gave them mini muffins and oat cookies from Tesco

what about a pirate treat eg sticker sheet or fancy pencil for class (if you can organise in time).

Or make cakes I used to but now have given in and send in chocolate.

Games sound great. We have also had a surprising success with flap a fish in teams.

Keep a spare game up yr sleeve tho - something like grandma's footsteps (pirate blackbeard's footsteps?) keeps em busy for a while as they all want to be "it".

sounds good! They'll just want to run around lots anyway - have you got balloons and maybe a bubble machine (ELC do a fab one)? My ds2 would be perfectly happy charging about after both of the above for 2.5 hours..!

I am feeling less wibbly about it now... food shop done, cake made but not assembled... just have to pray about the weather..

Have cheated and bought a box of mini chocolate things from M&S for DS1 to take to school tomorrow morning.
