9 year old home party

DD is turning 9 soon and has requested a sleepover with her best friends. There are 5 of them which I know means no sleep but I’ve agreed as it’s one night and it’s free to do.

We are doing movie, pizza and ice cream but what else can be done that’s not too costly, fun but not overly messy etc? Any ideas? She’s not too interested in pampering / nails etc as that was my first suggestion. She loves crafts but I feel at 9 maybe that’s a bit boring and too young unless I can think of something very specific. Does anyone have any ideas to share?

Silent disco? You can hire the equipment online, they drop it off and collect it. Just make a playlist and stream it to the headphones! We did this recently and it was so much fun, the kids absolutely loved it!

I’ve just had a party at home with 11 year old girls.
Crafts was the thing they wanted to do. Even through to my 13 year old and her friends. She did soap making and stuff at hers, they love it.
9 is the perfect age for a craft party.
Mug/plate decorating? Hobby craft have a great range of blank bags and boxes and things. Keeps them busy for ages and there’s your party bag sorted also.

They 11 year olds also still loved a party game. Pass the parcel, draw it, scavenger hunt.

My dd had a sleepover for her ninth birthday. We did decorating pillowcases with fabric pens and they also made lip balm.

You could do the Taylor Swift type bracelets.

Bracelet making, pottery and glass painting, making bath bombs. Think craft but older kids and they'll have a great time!
