Alternative to Easter Eggs for very small children

My sister has 2 DS's age 9 & 20 months.

She has always got my DS's really lovely Easter Eggs. Not big or extravagant, but she seems have a knack for getting it just right. e.g. they loved the egg decorating kits she got one year.

Anyway her DS's are not really allowed choc and I'm sure they will get some from their 2 sets of grandparents anyway, so I was trying to think of something else.

Only trouble is that they also have 2 boy cousins on their Dad's side, so with 4 sets of toys being handed down, their house is already full of plastic junk. I wanted to try and get something that won't just be more clutter for her, so fluffy bunnies out too really. My only idea was a bottle of bubbles, kind of egg shaped , consumable (as in will be used up, not eaten) and they will love them, but whilst this is not about spending a lot of money, that does seem very tight.

I can't believe I've posted on this either, but if anyone has an opinion, it might stop me dithering any longer. Thanks.

The last few years I've seen metal buckets with stickers, etc in plus a few small eggs - buckets can be used in the sandpit afterwards. Are they not allowed chocolate because of allergies or because she doesn't want them to have it? If they can't have any at all you could remove the eggs...

buy something else. A little book or game for example?

something otherly spring related. seeds to plant together, gardening spades etc. I realise they're itty bitty but they still like digging in mud!

We ask grandparents not to buy chocolate eggs for DD, now nearly 6y, otherwise she;d ed up with far too many. Mind you they still end up buying her a small one lol!

Instead DD gets an alterative: books, nice dress, etc.
