Powder on balloons

Hi all
It's my DD 3rd birthday in a couple of days it's encanto themed and have bought most of themed decorations off Amazon. One was a balloon arch which I've just started doing. I'm half way done and looked at my hands and they are covered in cream coloured powder. It says on Amazon it's from another country so I have no clue.
Does anyone know what it is and if it is harmful in any way
. Would be appreciated

And if the balloons go in the bin afterwards they are likely to end up in an erf (energy incinerator) so won’t end up in the sea.

I don’t know. I think the environmental cost of importing an Encanto-themed balloon-arch for a 3 year old’s birthday party is worth pointing out.

Start your own thread about the environmental impacts of this sort of thing then because there’s a time and place.

I’m a vegan, should I go on threads where someone is asking for a recipe for the chicken they’ve just bought at tesco? No, because that would make a twat.

That should say

I’m a vegan, should I go on threads where someone is asking for a recipe for the chicken they’ve just bought at tesco, telling them they’re unreasonable to eat meat? No, because that would make a twat.
