Hi all

I am looking for a jewellers where I can get Christening jewellery for my daughter.
hopefully something I can get engraved, even with just a letter.
I’ve been looking at necklaces and bracelets at Molly Brown, & Little Star Jewellery. Can’t decide between the two.
Anybody used these before and have any thoughts or have any other suggestions?

thanks x

Can anybody recommend best places to get christening jewellery?
how much should I spend? Is it worth getting something precious that can still be used later, or re made into a different piece of jewellery for when their older etc? Or something cheap and cheerful?
(prices I’ve been looking at vary from £60-£85)
I honestly don’t know if that is too much to spend on a baby but I do want it to last forever What are your thoughts? Open to any suggestions :)

Christening jewellery doesn't seem to be that common any more, at least amongst people I know. How about a simple, good quality charm bracelet? You could add charms to it over the years for special occasions.

My dd has a charm bracelet. She doesn't wear it but she likes having it. She is given a new charm each year e.g. little book the year she started school.

DD got some christening jewellery. She never wore it. Then when she was old enough to wear it safely it was too small.

Not what you want to hear but IMO christening jewellery is a waste of money.

pk so charm bracelet is an option…
but any other ideas? I want to get her something special but if I don’t get her jewellery any other ideas?

I'd get something inexpensive but personal that they can wear on special occasions when they're a bit older about 8-12. My daughter lives wearing all her christening jewelry at that age, but only kept one piece into adulthood.
If they don't break or lose it, you can get a longer chain for it when they're older.

So if it’s charm bracelet or necklace with a pendant then the pendant or charms can be used with bigger necklace or bracelet.

its hard because we have a lot of family coming, and from questions they’ve asked I know some are getting jewllery. So a part of me is now worried knowing that most jewellery won’t get used… I shouldn’t just in case she end up to much…
what are thoughts on a nice book or an art print? She has her birthday soon too..
Catherine Rayner does lovely signed copies of her books and also art prints… could possibly get her one for her birthday and one for her christening?

I would buy a small silver photo frame.
