Older children attending a 3 yr old's party - would you do party bags?

I have 5 of dd's cousins attending her party next week - the last 2 years, I bought them those pre-filled 'bang on the door'/football party bags you get from the supermarket, but I'm wondering if the eldest of them are now a bit too old and would consider them babyish..?

We're talking:

13 yr old girl (going on 20, into emo)
12 yr old boy (very sporty, getting into girls)
11 yr old boy (ditto the sports, still at 'girls are yuck' stage)
10 yr old girl (who is very pink n' girly)
5 yr old girl (loves fifi dora and peppa so I'm hoping she'll be satisfied with one of the 3 yr old's Dora party bags!)

I'd like to get them something as I don't feel it's fair that they've been dragged here by dd's aunties/uncles - does anyone have any suggestions?

Could you get seperate party bags for the cousins, and fill with more age-appropriate stuff ?

Although they seem so grown-up they are still children and I bet a bag of stuff would be greatly appreciated.

Am thinking of little bits of make-up/fluffy pens/teeny note books for the girls, and yoyos/super-bouncy balls/minipots of hairgel for the boys.

If being invited and want to come, then yes I would still give them a party bag. Even big children like being given stuff like this - although might secretly pretend not too if with their peers

At sme posh parties and events adults get party bags, and at weddings you get favours (which are like mini party bags really) - so why not?

boysarelikedogs, that's what I'd do too. Doesn't have to cost £££, just a few sweeties/chocs and yes, lip gloss nail polish or notebooks/ bouncy ball or football cards etc

Fantastic ideas, thank you all very much!

I'd already planned on co-opting the eldest ones to be helpers with the games, so that ties in quite nicely, thanks cat64!

Brilliant idea re. football cards for the boys - I know they both collect them, but for some reason it hadn't occurred to me to think about them as party bag fillers![d'oh! smiley] I'd already thought about some nice lipgloss or nail varnish for the girls and I've picked up some fluffy pencils already...

Hurrah for MN!
