I want to have a mini pamper party in the house for my dd's 7th birthday. I want to be able to use 1 pack of make up per child and then give them it home instead of a party bag. I am having difficulty finding it. Anyone have any ideas./ Before Xmas you could buy it everywhere but no one seems to have it now. Please help/.

Poundland or similar - glittery tat galore!

singyswife · 29/01/2008 21:06

Wilkinson's? Tesco's?

However if very cheap you may want to check with the child/parent that they don't have sensitive skin that may react.

YEah thought about the reaction thing. Was going to ask on the invites if everyone has ok skin. I know my dd suffers from excema if she uses cheap stuff but I will just cake her in moisturiser first.

How about sparkly nail varnish and toe divider thingies?

singyswife · 29/01/2008 21:20

yeah thats a plan then no make up is being used and no chance of reaction.

Also if avoiding actual make up you could get cheap hair bobbles etc as well if finances run to that.

StripeyMamaSpanx · 29/01/2008 21:24

Oooh yes

onepieceoflollipop · 29/01/2008 21:25

By the way hope they have a lovely party, sounds like you are going to a lot of effort planning it.

singyswife · 29/01/2008 21:26

Yeah dd is soooo girly just think it would be so up her street. Yeah think nails and sparkly bobbles may be the way to go, oh and lots of pink food.

ooh fairy cakes with pink icing and silver balls spring to mind...my dd is only 4 and would love pink food!

singyswife · 29/01/2008 21:28

pink popcorn, pink fairy cakes (you can actually make the sponge pink), marshmallows etc.

We dyed the last cake pink and baked it in a heart shaped tin.

Despite my previous mutterings on pink-is-for-girls and good intentions to avoid too much fluffy girliness it was a blessed refief that I didn't have to make another Henry-the-farking-steam-train cake - that was nearly the end of me...
