AnyOne experienced what it’s like?

DD went to one aged 4 - it was ok but most of the parents had to help their LOs.

They looked very cute in their chef hats!

Personally, I’d say too young.

DD went to one that age and it was a bit flat - the making of pizzas is over quickly and there's lots of hanging about trying to stop them pissing off the other customers. She went to one again when she was 8 or 9 which seemed more successful as the kids were less bored in between.

We're considering this for our daughters 5 birthday and were wondering the same! I'm not sure if the restaurant is happy for parents to hang around and thought some parents may not be comfortable leaving their children if they don't know us. Sorry to hijack your thread!

Yup too young in my experience
The adults will end up doing it all while the kids would rather be at softplay

You’d need the parents to stay and I doubt there would be enough space in a restaurant. I’d wait until older

Countrylifemama · 22/09/2022 19:57

so they are offering to do the party when the restaurant is shut so essentially 10.30-12.30 - which means it wont be as crazy as it usually is and they've said they offer games like pin the moustache/ pass the parcel

We did it for a 7th birthday and that was the perfect age - they were all able to do it themselves and yes there were some silly games to fill in time but they brought dough balls while the pizzas were cooking and ice creams afterwards so it worked out very well. It was really fun

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 22/09/2022 20:02

Oh then I’d do it OP- adults may have to help, it will be fine

Countrylifemama · 22/09/2022 23:34

Ahh no worries ☺️ The one we are booking offers to do them from 10 onwards till 12/12:30 so basically before they open the restaurant for customers - which in a way is nice and less chaotic and means parents can stay etc xx

We done it for dd 5th birthday. She's one of the oldest in class and the staff there were awsome.

Parents just had coffee and a chat

We went to one recently for a 6th birthday. DS is 5. The restaurant was closed. Most parents dropped and left but I'm glad I stayed so I could help DS. There was a bit of waiting around whilst the pizzas cooked but DS enjoyed it.
