Healthy finger food

Hi
Can you please suggest some healthy finger food nibbles for a party where people won't have a sit down meal. The reason I say healthy is because I usually have loads of leftovers and don't want to be eating Doritos for the next 3 months.

I'm currently thinking of grapes, strawberries, nuts (not the salty type), dried fruit, that kind of thing.

Serve less. People dont want to eat fruit and salad at a buffet, the sausage rolls and quiche are the best bit!

Would you be happy to make canapes? Very easy to make healthy, and also super tasty...
Wrap dates in bacon and oven cook
Mini oatcakes with cream cheese, smoked salmon
Roast beef rolls with tomato and mustard
Grapes and tasty cheese skewers
And yes, your suggestions too!

Stuffed cherry tomatoes! Cream cheese and basil maybe. Or goats cheese and sweet chilli. Feta? Etc

I'm on the continent. People eat a bit healthier here. When I've had lots of chocolates etc. people haven't taken them. I wasn't planning to have salad except maybe some veg for dips that I would buy prepared.

Actually, cherry tomatoes just as they are sound good. I'll definitely use them up if they're left over. There will also be some cheese with the grapes.

Canapes not very healthy. I don't eat meat so won't prepare the dates and bacon thing or the roast beef rolls. I'm not against having unhealthy food, but I think there will be plenty anyway because people will bring nibbles even if I say not to.

Quiche was an OK suggestion above. I'll think about trying to do a crustless one for the first time.

Cut cucumbers into rounds and pipe a dip on top so they are like crackers.
Smoked salmon and cream cheese pinwheels
Wonton cups filled with Vietnamese chicken salad
Chocolate dipped strawberries

Rainbowqueeen · 14/04/2022 12:45

You could try tortilla instead of quiche.

Stuffed button mushrooms

Crustless quiche is more or less a kind of omelette already isn't it. I really couldn't be bothered to stuff tiny mushrooms though...

I guess I'm pretty lazy and also fussy myself so there aren't that many things I would prepare and eat.

I do cook an aubergine/tomato thing that's cut into slices for parties, usually goes down OK.

Keep coming with your suggestions though please.

Also, any suggestions for tidying up the place? I tend to find my place tidy when every item is in its 'home', but I suppose there's more to it than that and everything in its rightful place might still look messy to someone else. Any tips for seeing my flat through other people's eyes?

Make mini frittata in a 12-hole bun tin.
Veg crudites with variety of dips.
Breads for guests who want something with some substance to it.

HarrietSchulenberg · 14/04/2022 13:01

"Crustless quiche" isn't an omelette, it's more of an oven-baked frittata.

Yes, but it's a similar idea.

Yes, I've learned this in the past when I provided cheese and some people couldn't eat the cheese without having bread with it.

Cucumber sticks, carrot sticks, celery. With various dips.
Cheese and pineapple skewers because yum.
a cheese and crackers board.

It hasn't been mentioned on here so maybe it's not an issue, but I'd be careful serving nuts unless you know for definite no one at the party will be allergic. I have a friend that can't even be close to a nut without having a really serious reaction.

Surely someone with such a serious allergy would let me know though?
