Do 10 yo's still have party bags? If so will this do?

I have little bags (denim embroidered with a flower - about pencil case size) with a couple of mini bath bombs (heart shaped), a little pad of paper (flower shaped), a crystal to hang in a window and a rose made of petals to go in the bath, plus a bag of iced gems

Seems odd with no cake (but we aren't having one) and no balloons (they are a bit old) or any crap

Katymac · 17/11/2007 16:33

Good they only cost about £2 (incl the bag) & I wasn't sure if I was being stingy

not many kids where i live have parties when they are 10 let alone party bags

pointydog · 17/11/2007 16:41

you're never too old for a party bag. I would love a party bag. It's like a stocking really, isn't it

pointydog · 17/11/2007 16:42

oo, what do kids round about you do then, tegan?

Katymac · 17/11/2007 16:44

It's a "Black Tie"

a black tie dinner party??

golly

what's on the menu?

pointydog · 17/11/2007 16:49

going on a trip with a couple of pals, we'd still call that a party but I know what you mean. It's not an actual party.

Katymac · 17/11/2007 16:51

Pate or smoked salmon on toast

Cottage Pie or Kedgeree

Mince Pies, something chocolaty

Cheese & biscuits

dd2 always thinks of her stomach - she'd like that sort of thing

janeite · 17/11/2007 20:01

We did a "Restaurant" party, for dd1's 9th birthday - daddy as waiter, personalised menus etc - it went down very well! Your party bags sound lovely. Have fun!

TinyGang · 17/11/2007 20:17

They sound topnotch party bags! Perfect

Katymac · 17/11/2007 20:39

Well I survived (but only just)

DD loved it - as did all the girls (5 10 yo's and a 17 yo - don't ask)

Mum, dad, DH & I are all exhausted - and non of us have ever seen so much food eaten

2 Boxes of after eights

Only just caught up with this thread. What a lovely idea! I'm gonna do that next year for dd. She'll be 13. Eek! Hope she doesn't turn into Kevin! Glad you had a nice time.

tegan · 18/11/2007 20:19

We tend to take dd and a couples of friends to tgi fridays or frankie and bennys for a meal or go to the cinema then pizza hut or even bowling.
