Is a 7 year old too old for a soft play party

My daughter is turning 7 in march and she's never had a birthday so wanted to do one for her this year. I'm a single mum on a tight budget and looking at prices I'm thinking maybe soft play as good is also provided. Do you think she and her friends will be too old now for soft play party? She does still love going and the local one says it's suitable for up to 12 years but I'm just not sure. Any ideas? I've looked at climbing etc but she has coursing and her sister who aren't old enough for those and I wanted it to include everyone.

no a seven year old definitely is not too old.

Too old? 7 is the perfect age for a soft play party!

If she enjoys it then why not! Or trampolining maybe if she wanted something similar but a little more grown up.

Definitely not.. DD, who is 11 this year, still loves them and had her birthday party last year at one. DS is just 8 and we're off to one for his (although not the full party as he wants a pizza party at home afterwards!)

If your DD is up for it, go for it. As a fellow single mum, the ease more than makes up for what can seem a bit pricey for a couple of hours play. You just have to supply the cake and they do the rest (my one even did party bags although they weren't great!)

Sorry for all the typos 🙄 she has cousins who are too young.

Hmm tricky my 7 year old hasn’t been to a soft play party since reception I think. However she does still love soft play and would be very happy to go to a soft play party if someone had one! Also the soft plays near us are tiny so that may be why people stop having parties there quite young. How about a trampoline park? how old are the sibling and cousins?

Should say that DDs was a laser tag party at the same venue - but they were let loose for about half hour after food and honestly, was lovely to see them just become kids again after seeming so grown up the rest of the time!

Thanks 😊 I just thought because most of the parties she goes to now seem different places and the soft play parties she went to were all in nursery and reception.

@minipie her sister is 4 and cousins one just turned 3 and the other 4. Alot of the other options seems to be from 6 years old.

Climbing and trampoline park here is from 4 though that doesn’t help if the ones near you are from 6!

Anyway I reckon soft play is fab Grin
