Party bag.... Is this enough

Dd 3 is having a ninjago themed party for her nursery friends and some family members at local soft play.

Party bags will have:

Ninjago lego set
Cake
Small chocolate bar

Dh says the boxes will look empty and we should add more, I think its a good party bag

Any thoughts?

Sounds fine and generous to me! My DS turned three recently and his bags had a bouncy ball, two plastic animals (he is animal mad, just the ones from Tesco in the party bag aisle) a bag of haribo and a piece of cake.

3boysandabump · 29/07/2018 22:11

That sounds like an amazing party bag to me because the children will actually use the Lego instead of it being filled with crap they'll just leave lying around the house

3 is young for lego, will they really build it or play with it? Most like tat at that age Grin

Ricekrispie22 · 30/07/2018 06:25

Perhaps swap the Lego with a packet of crayons and a Ninjago colouring book? You could also include a balloon

Sorry dd is 3 at the min she's turning 4, most of her class are 4 too.

I'd replace the Lego with something they can get on with straight away. Like bubbles or a bouncy ball or one of those snakes.

Sorry cross post!

That sounds like an awesome party bag. My DS has played with Lego since he was a young 3yr old.

aperolspritzplease · 30/07/2018 08:02

Is the ninja go not very small for 3/4 yo?

Nicpem1982 · 30/07/2018 08:08

Aperol- My dd loves ninjago it's one of her favourite TV series/movies she hasn't got many ninjago lego sets though.

Is that what you mean?

Only put the lego in the bags for the over 3s.

Nicpem1982 · 30/07/2018 14:51

There all over 3 :)

Ninjago lego is very fiddly, tiny swords and spears, gets list all the time in our house of older children.

driveninsanebythehubby · 30/07/2018 22:53

Lighten up those saying it’s too small/fiddly. If the parents think it is, they will ‘lose’ it til they think they are big enough! We have 3 sons, all enjoy Lego. Our youngest 2 enjoy it the most, and I suspect that’s because they started playing with it a lot younger than DS1! All were fine playing from around 2.5/3 (obviously they weren’t building it - but loved play with finished product and now a little older play regularly with it themselves). My youngest LOVES Ninjago, he had his first set at 4!

I think it sounds an awesome party bag and I am sure parents will appreciate how much you have spent on it!

notsurewhatshappening · 12/10/2018 21:55

How much did 25 lego sets cost?

Nicpem1982 · 13/10/2018 18:15

Not sure - dh bought them think they were about 4 pounds each. They were poly bag sets.

Fair enough. I've spent £22 on 10 party bags, £100 is over my budget. My DCS would be very happy with your party bag!

Nicpem1982 · 13/10/2018 20:32

They went down well the kids were pleased
