DD1's 3rd birthday - where would you have it ?

Need opinions please as I am a bit stumped !

It's DD1's 3rd birthday in about 6 weeks time - she had a big party at home for her 1st birthday with bouncy castle etc - she didn't have a party last year just visited both sides of the family or a few hours.
This year we are definitely doing her a party - she has loads of cousins and quite a few little friends now, only trouble is we are currently living with MIL while we buy a new house (this all fell through on Friday so there is no way we will be in anywhere by DD;s birthday).
My options are - a local village hall - a few cousins and friends have had parties there, can fit in bouncy castle etc or local pub, they have massive outdoor play area for the children, when we do pop up there for a pub lunch she plays for hours out there.
Am leaning slightly more towards the pub, adults can have a few drinks if they want (it's my birthday 4 days arter DD's so kind of kills 2 birds with 1 stone), we will pay for all of the children to have something to eat and drinks while they are there.

What would you choose ?
Her Bday is 16th July so is more or less guaranteed to be a lovely day

VIllage hall would be cheaper option i think

Pub - would you be providing a meal for all the guests?

Truthfully, either sounds nice for your DD

That's the problem I am having MamaG - would provide all food for children coming for DD1 but unsure about adults - maybe I could ask if they would be able to put a sort of buffet together

Yes, they probably would put a buffet together - suppose if you have it in the village hall and invite adults, you'll have to fork out for booze as well whcih could prove v expensive.

I would go for the pub option. I don't think the adults will expect food but if you can afford it a buffet is a lovely idea. From an adult point of view pub definitely best idea

Am going to call pub ater lunch and see what they can put together for us and at what price.
Fingers crossed it's not too expensive

Pub sounds lovely

if you did it at traditional children's party time, ie about 4 pm, I don't think the adults would expect a meal as well. Something for them to nibble on would be a nice gesture, but I don't think you'd need a full buffet.

I must say I would be very pleased to be invited to this sort of party, it sounds like a nice thing for the whole family
