How much to spend on birthday present when 2 children are invited

I was hoping to get some guidance. What is the proper etiquette on birthday gifts when you have 2 children attending? Should I spend double on the birthday child since I am buying a gift from both children?

I had a friend that brought all 3 of her children to the party and spent about what I would spend for 1 of my children to go a party. Just wondering what is the proper etiquette in these types of situations.

Thanks!

I normally spend bit more if both my girls are invited but not double.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking.

I would usually but one larger present from them both, e.g. up to about £15 in Smiggle. However, I have had mums comment that the present was 'very generous ' in a surprised sort of way so I got the impression this was unexpected/misunderstood. I have had twins come to my dcs' parties who have each brought a gift of around £5/6 which is sensible, too.

I have twins. If both children are invited to a party I take two presents of exactly the same value I would spend if it was only one attending.

After all if the birthday child comes to our party they will bring a present for each of my children.

And yes, if they both go to a joint party we take four presents.

I take a present between my dc, normally in the £5-10 range. Very much the norm here. I spent the same whether it is one or both dc invited (most parties invite siblings here though).
