My ds has been invited to the party of a little girl I do not know from nursey, as I don't have girls, I was wondering what I can get for her. Many thanks.

polly pocket - always a winner imo.

Little gel pens seem to go down well. don't get her anything bulky, her mother won't thank you for it

anything crafty like pens, stickers, kits to make things-Tesco have good selection such as mobiles, suncatchers, magnets to make and paint

I second polly pocket.

Or activity book with some fancy pens. Or a jigsaw - M&S have some good ones.

Or a book - Felicity Wishes, Angelina Ballerina, Barbie colouring, those Usborne craft books, Charlie and Lola.

There are some new Disney fairies out for around the £5 mark, available in the ELC, or I think you can't go wrong with a book or two, but I would check what they already have/like.
Charlie and Lola are fab!

Polly pocket is icky. Playmobil. (but then I am obsessed...). Also not quite as overtly "girly" as Polly P so good if you are not sure if she is a pink and frilly girl or not...

my dd got some claire's accessory type jewelery last birthday, excpet I think it was from Sainsbury's and it was her favourite present crafty stuff always goes down well and it doesn't matter if they already have it.

Sunglasses - Woolworths usually have some good cheap ones, Gymboree glasses are fab but you have to get them shipped from USA now

Jewellery/hair accessories - most toy shops have a range of these now. There are a lot of charm bracelets about at the moment and the charms are enamel-coloured shoes, cupcakes, ballet dresses etc. They're lovely - and her parents will be able to buy her extra charms as bribes & rewards

Books: Charlie & Lola (agreed!), The Little Princess, Princess Smartypants, Winnie-the-Witch or Mrs Armytage.
