im getting married in a few months, and want to make up an activity box for the kids coming to the wedding to keep them entertained, the only thing is i havent a clue what these age groups will be into, and they are mainly my mums friends kids who i dont know well enough to ask them what they're into, and my mother is being difficult and not helping!!

so any ideas for what will keep them busy for a while would be greatly appreciated, i dont mind spending up to £10-15 per child if necessary, and needs to be something not too bulky.

kids are

2 boys aged 7 and 8
3 girls aged 6, 6 and 10

thank you very much! xxx

Lego or Knex
Some kits to make something to take home
DVD (hotel might have access to TV)
Paper and pencils

Bubbles for all of them!

Those scene things where you rub transfers onto a background.

Mini write and rub out boards from the ELC - can't remember what they're called.

Beads and string for the girls.

My DD (5) is very keen on colouring books, also reading (a new Rainbow Fairies book would engross her for hours), bead threading, notebook and gel pens would be good too.

Boys: DS1 (7) is mad for Shoot Out cards (not so great in a few months tho) or maybe Top Trumps, Dr Who cards.

Both love Playmobil.

Oh DS1 also loves Magnetix. And DD will play for hours with Polly Pocket. Good sets of that to be had for £5 - £10 as well.

disposable cameras? It could be a fascinating record of your big day!
