Am looking for an entertainer for ds 7th birthday. Any idea of costs anyone. Also trying to a magician/disco party rather than a clown (too many kids & adults (me incl) scared of them)

Basically ds has asked for party at home. He has only named about 15 children to attend and school night.

Am already whisking him off to disney - altho he doesnt know a thing about it so doent want to go overboard on the cost of party but feel a 7th is a bit special.

Any help please

Hiya awen,

I booked Silly Scott to do my Son's party in December, and he is fantastic !!
I booked the 2hour full party package, all i had to do was the party food which he stopped for half way through the party. He even does the party bags on request, which are great value for money at only £1.50 per bag. Alfie my 5year old, and all his friends had a great time. He is still talking about his party now, and how he made his magic rabbit appear. So we will be booking him again next year for his 6th birthday !!

I'm sure that you will have a fantastic party, as you are in safe hands with Silly Scott, a very professional experienced entertainer.

His website is www.sillyscott.co.uk

Pink80 - it is great to hear that as dont know of anyone else who used him. (you must be local to me then )

Does he make a real fuss of the birthday boy/girl - do they get a special momento from him as is their birthday?

I got the contract through today so need to post back pdq

awen - Glad i could help, i live Fareham. Yes he make's a fuss of the birthday child, and at the end of the magic show he gives the birthday child a personalised magic certificate, magic wand and birthday gift. All of Alfie's friends have used Silly Scott for their parties and he has been a hit at all of them. He really knows how to control the children, even the naughty ones which is a big bonus. We first saw him working for the spinnaker tower (Gunwharf) last summer, he was making balloon models for the children. His models are fantastic, i only wish that i could make balloon models like that !!!

If you need any more info just give me a shout or i'm sure if you call him with any query's he is a really friendly guy and would be happy to answer them.

Hiya awen,

Was just browsing through, and remembered about your son's party. I wondered if you have had it yet ? and how things went. Were you happy with Silly Scott ? how was his show ?

Roobie · 02/03/2007 18:01

What area does Silly Scott cover? Strange that he doesn't specify on his website - I am currently researching entertainers etc for dd's 5th birthday and he looks good.

Pink80 · 04/03/2007 22:44

Hiya Roobie,

I'm not sure, but if i remember right he did say something about travelling a wide area at my son's party last year.

Where abouts are you based ?

Maybe you should give him a call, i'm sure he will be happy to help you. He is a really friendly genuine guy, as well as a fantastic entertainer.

Wow can't believe i found this thread !!!

My daughter came home from a party last week, and has not stopped talking about the entertainer " Silly Scott " she had one of his picture cards but i put it down somewhere and lost it !!

I'm so glad that i found his details here on mumsnet, thanks guys. You have saved my life, my daughter would have been so upset if i don't get him for her birthday party.
