Have booked a 'bear making party' for dd's 6th birthday. I booked it because I know it's something she'll love, but am thinking about it now and am worrying that others, more so the boys I think won't really enjoy it?
Apparently they all make their own bear, no sewing! lol to take home with them - so no party bag needed, and then the entertainers will do all the traditional party games with them.

Would your 5 or 6 year old enjoy this party?

DD would love it! She went to a craft party (not bears but little boxes) recently and seemed to enjoy it! There were a few boys there too although mostly girls.

my almost 6 year old BOY loves creative stuff and making things and wants to grow up to be a toymaker so I think he'd love it .. providing he can make a boy / grizzly bear and not a girly one

schneebly · 08/01/2007 17:09

my nephew is 6 and he would love it.

Twiglett · 08/01/2007 17:12

um .. may I ask how much it costs?

note the soon to be 6 year old

brandy7 · 08/01/2007 17:15

to make a bear in the shop in our precinct costs about £25 for just 1!you must be rich

my ds loves teddies so im sure it will be enjoyed by all

airy · 08/01/2007 17:20

Thanks everyone, thats put my mind at ease
It is pretty expensive, but it's the only party she's getting until she's 18 so I reckon I can live with it. lol

It's costing £13 per head, which isn't too bad actually if they're charging £25 there Brandy!

hana · 08/01/2007 17:22

my 5 year old would love it
is it the 'build a bear' factory?
she made one with my mum in the summer and they both had a fab time

PinkTulips · 08/01/2007 17:23

my boy cousin (only boy of that age i have experiance of) would have absolutely loved something like that.... he's 10 now and still probably would in an 'i'm too cool for this really but i'll join in to humour the little kids' sort of way

same cousin last week was playing with ds on the couch and his friend told him to be quiet the simpsons were on... he answered 'shut up yourself i'm playing with my cousin and he's more fun!'

Tommy · 08/01/2007 17:44

I hope my DSs will like it as they are ging to one in a few weeks time! I think most children like making things don't they?

mummydoc · 08/01/2007 17:49

All mine would love it (so would I)

airy · 08/01/2007 18:04

mumydoc, I just googled childrens party entertainers Where would we be without google eh! lol
It's not build a bear, it's a local childrens entertainer co. They do all kinds of parties, this being one of them.
It does sound cool doesn't it, I'd want to make one myself but at £13 each I probably shouldn't. lol

Hi all,

I have just read your posts and the bear making party you are discussing sounds very familiar!!!

I run Party Crew Leeds (part of a UK wide network of children entertainers) and we offer a bear making party for £13 per child.

If you are interested please have a look at our website www.partycrew.co.uk

I had a bear making party for dd1's 5th birthday except we made pink poodles. It was a small party with a few choice friends and no boys hence the pink ,the kits werent cheap ,about a tenner a piece i think.
The kits were fab though and included no sew poodle, heart, birth certificate and take me away bag.All the girls went home happy!
The company i used was Be my bear.
