Dinosaur party for 3 year old girl

My little girl (who will be 3 in April) is obsessed with dinosaurs. Are there are party packages/entertainers out there that will do dinosaur themed parties suitable for toddlers and very small children? 'Travelling natural history museum' looks good but is designed for older kids, and I know it's more likely that all dinosaur themed stuff will be aimed at older kids, but she is completely obsessed with dinosaurs so I'd love to give her a fabulous party.

If you wanted to do one yourself I'm sure you could make up explorer backpacks, do a dinosaur treasure hunt, get them to "excavate" washing up bowls or sandpits?

But don't know anyone that could provide something pre made up as a package sorry

Could you see if a local bouncy castle place did a dinosaur themed castle (channeling George pig's birthday plans!)

I did a dinosaur party for dd1's 3rd birthday. It was a homemade effort in the village hall, but went really well.

I had some activities set up around the hall at the start, there was a sandpit filled with salt dough bones that the kids could excavate and fit on to a skeleton outline dp drew on a big bit of paper (when completed I mixed the bones back into the sand). There was a craft table with dinosaur cut outs to decorate with pens, stick on gems etc, also plain paper and dinosaur stickers to make a dinosaur scene. There was an egg excavating table with homemade eggs with plastic dinosaurs in the middle (I found directions on pintrest for this and they were easy to make. There was also a section of wall with big IKEA roll paper bluetacked up and chalk to do cave painting. I also put up the inner from our smallest tent and draped it in fabric to make a dinosaur cave, and filled it with our numerous dinosaur cuddly toys and dressing up bits.

For the first hour the kids did the activities or ran around, then I ran some games for the kids who wanted (others kept doing the activities). Some were normal (musical bumps, pass the parcel), but I also did pin the tail on the dinosaur (hand drawn on a bit of paper) and 'dinosaur island' where I'd made an island out of newspaper, the kids would dance while the music played, but when it stopped dp would pretend to be a dinosaur and chase them back on to the island (which we shrank each round).

Then we had a party tea. I got some dinosaur cutters for the sandwiches and did fossil biscuits (made by pressing toy dinosaur into the biscuit before cooking) and fly in amber orange jelly (in plastic shit glasses with a raisin fly).

Shot glasses. Shit glasses would have been inappropriate.

We got lots of big inflatable dinosaurs from ELC (handily half price at the time) for my son's 3rd birthday. We hid them in the garden and the children hunted for them. They've also had races "riding" them and carrying them since then. They looked fab in the photos too. You can get inflatable T-Rexes on Amazon for about £2 each.

We did what's the time mr T Rex? And pin the horn on the triceratops, and musical roaring dinos and feed the T Rex and dino says (instead of Simon Says). At age 3, kids aren't much good at parties anyway, they need free time and often run around a lot and just a few traditional games themed and some food for an hour or so is enough. Entertainers get very expensive and at this age it isn't necessary (I may be biased as my kids tended to spend birthday parties sat on my lap being terrified of entertainers at this age!).

It wasn't for her birthday but the dinosaur egg hunt I did a Easter for 3yr DD and two other 3 yr olds went really well.

You can get dinosaur eggs that hatch in water, if you buy in bulk they work out quite cheaply and would do instead of a party bag.

Some of these ideas are brilliant! Oh all right - ALL of these ideas are ace. Marking the place for an upcoming 4th birthday.

I used a brilliant company who personalised the graphics and then I made a lot of stuff myself.
