To imagine that 30 4-5 year olds would sit still for a cinema party?
Daft question?
We are just coming up with ideas for dd1's 5th birthday and we thought it would be something a bit different.
Why are party ideas so hard?
Knowing us we will probably think sod it and just take her out for the day.

SPACEdoutzombieCADET · 09/10/2006 22:09

SoupDragon · 09/10/2006 22:09

Erm...

you'd be pushing it getting 3 4-5 year olds sitting still for a cinema party tbh... all imo, of course.

Voting for deluded, sorry

Sick to death of soft play
We can hire a hall quite cheaply but the cost will be bumped right up if we have an entertainer, and no way can i run around in a high pitched voice saying"come on children ,time for musical chairs",it just aint me.
Kinda hoped the cinema idea would work cos dp can get a discount, but yes i was deluded!

I had 45 at DSs joint 4th/6th birthday party and it was fine. But it was at a softplay area!

Beauregard · 09/10/2006 22:16

Didnt want to leave any of her class mates feeling left out really but yes 30 is a lot.

30 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many.

Or you could do a Gymbobs party. they hire the hall and have all the equipment to play on and then you provide the food.

Beauregard · 09/10/2006 22:18

Yeah your right cod but how would i sneak the invites to the kids without the others noticing?

OP posts:
GeorginaA · 09/10/2006 22:22

Go do a leisure centre one - they do all the activities. Ours does gocarts, games etc... makes a change from softplay

Beauregard · 09/10/2006 22:23

I know im daft but i would hate to upset any of the kids.

have you ever been in a Reception classroom ?! lol @ the idea of 30 kids sitting still for any length of time ! Can you not get someone to come in and do stories music and/or games with them.

geogteach · 10/10/2006 12:10

DS went to a cinema party for 12 4-5 year olds on Friday apparently they lasted 45 minutes and then ran round the house like loonies so don't fancy your chances with 30!

TwigTwoolett · 10/10/2006 12:10

of course they won't .. are you mad?

Beauregard · 10/10/2006 12:15

Yes Twig

I know about the left out thing - can you give invites to the parents in the playground.

Oh just go for it - it is only two hours of hell and they get more presents.

I have 17 6/7 year olds coming to my sons party on sat at my tiny house and I don't have a kitchen floor at the minute. I think you will be fine.
