Help me with a Frozen party

Hi all,

Am going to do a frozen party for DD in November.
I need some inspiring ideas to make it a good one. Am inviting all girls (approx 15) plus 2 boys. Going to hire a small hall.

Will do party boxes to make food easier. Probably some kind of craft table and maybe a face painter.

Need some good ideas because I'm sure it's not the first or last time it's been done! Grin

I did these for the party bags and they were a big hit with the kids according to the parents.

For the food - mini carrots labelled snowman noses?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 04/10/2014 22:11

That didn't quite work!

So that's the topper for a bag with 2 big marshmallows, 2 mini ones, orange tic tac, choc chips and pretzel/biscuit sticks. Or similar.

Olaf ballooons.

Lots of party game ideas online if you use Google. Pin the nose on Olaf/pin the tail on Sven.

Watching with interest because I am also doing a frozen party for my friend in November!Grin

I got a nice fairy light snowflake thing from b&m, it was down to £2.99, and I'm making a cake that looks like Olaf melting and putting a sign on it saying 'some people are worth melting for'.

We're also having a white chocolate fountain to be the north mountain. I love that with it being November I can use Christmas decorations and then most of them can stay up, saving me half a job in December!Wink

We did a Frozen party over the summer - we did pin the tail on Sven, ice castle building (ok, they were sponges I'd painted white and blue), and musical statues to the soundtrack. We also put a sign over the sand pit saying 'Oaken sauna' which the kids loved- they kept saying 'Oohoo big summer blowout!'

Love those party bag things!

Just found this whilst googling Frozen entertainers;

(if you can be arsed Wink)

The Party Food

Now this is where you can really get creative! Here are some of our favourite food ideas, we hope you like them too;
•‘Olaf’s Nose’s’ – Use mini metal buckets and fill with chopped carrots for ‘olaf’s nose’s’, alongside white cheddar cheese ‘snowballs’
•‘Melted Snow’ – Remove the labels on cartons of water and pop on ‘Melted Snow’ stickers alongside complimentary twirly straw’s fastened with a white ribbon.
•Frozen Cubes – Blue set jelly cut into tiny cubes looks fantastic as ‘Frozen’ ice blocks.
•Cotton Candy – blue and white lots of fun to eat and make an impressive fun sweet treat.
•‘Anna’s Frozen hearts’ – Strawberries halved and dipped in white chocolate.
•‘Snowflake Cookies’ – Use a basic sugar cookie mix but sprinkle on lots of glittery sugar and optional white icing.
•‘Frozen Cupcakes’ – Chocolate cupcakes with blue icing and a chocolate snowflake, the milkyway stars are great to set in the centre.
•‘Snowball Pops’ – Use marshmallow’s and coat in white hundreds and thousands, finish with an ice blue ribbon on the pop stick.

I was just going to say that we went to a Frozen party a few weeks ago, where 'Elsa' turned up, painted the girls nails and then sang 'Let it go' (beautifully) before she left. The girls were open-mouthed the entire time!

Pretzel sticks as svens antlers, foxes mints as kristoffs ice blocks, sandwiches!, Anna's chocolates, wotsits as olafs nose, giant marshmallows as Marshallow's Marshmallows, snowflake cookies...

We haven't got very far planning the food.

X post skinny!

Honeymoonmummy · 05/10/2014 21:06

You're all wonderful! Yes we have someone locally who does disney princess parties so going to see if they'll do an appearance and how much it will cost. I saw the Olaf party favour idea on Pinterest last night, will def be doing that!

Anti, where did you get the sponges from? I've just had a look on eBay and it could cost a fortune!

I'm not sure if this will make you feel better or worse Grin but

Maybe ignore the miniature ball gowns Grin Grin

I am doing one of these for my dd in Nov too. She'll be 4. Going to do pin the nose on the olaf and pin the tail on sven. Also going to have a craft table to make snowmen out of two different sized paper plates. And going to do musical statues (good idea to do that to the frozen soundtrack - hadn't thought of that) and am wrapping pass the parcel in blue and silver wrapping paper with something frozenesque inside - may see if I can find some cheap chocolate lollies with the frozen characters on.

todayiamfat · 25/10/2014 19:19

Haha! Grin another Frozen party in November here.

Another idea that no one has mentioned is white toilet rolls, sticks and carrots. Kids get into small groups to make the best snowman ("do you want to build a snowman?" By wrapping one kid in group up in the loo roll.

Lots and lots of ideas on pinterest. Including lots of ideas for birthday cakes.

Following. Our Frozen party will be in December Grin
