She loves dancing, dressing up, roleplay, acting out TV /Film roles while watching it etc etc....

Karaoke machine with kids songs?

NorthernLurker · 22/02/2013 19:06

Puppet theatre?

Also bit different fropm the areas you mention but we started dd3 on playmobil last year for her 5th birthday and it's been a huge hit. Great for imaginative dc.

WiganKebab · 22/02/2013 22:10

Brilliant, I love both of those ideas!

Are you from Wigan like me?

WiganKebab · 25/02/2013 19:02

Close-ish. I just like Wigan Kebabs!

Not acting, singing, dancing but Hama beads are great. My very nearly 5yo loves getting creative with them and they keep him occupied for ages.

Lego also good - DS builds it and then does creative play for hours with it a but like Playmobil.

Another vote for Hama beads! I've also been known to play with them when the kids r in bed Wink

DebK2012 · 26/02/2013 17:55

Haha they are good!

Hama beads. I love the noise they make when going up the Hoover Grin

I think we are going to get our DD a bike. I am hoping to persuade OH to let her get a girly swirly (but preferably not Disney princess!) one if she wants it.

as for the Hama beads - they are also sold in IKEA as Pyssla.
My DD finds them a bit fiddly but she has taken them out several times recently to play with. It's a bit annoying having to iron them but a nice quiet activity.

Hama beads sound good, and I must say that the school role-play could be spot on.

We were also contemplating a small trampoline for the garden (been saving up for a while!) - does anyone have one?

I.E does anyone recommend for 5y old, as opposed to 'do you have one I can have?' ......lol

I have 2 dds aged 7&5 and we got our first trampoline when dd1 was 2 and they're fab- we've used it so much were on our second!

WiganKebab · 26/02/2013 21:55

Is there a reliable brand you would recommend Sunny?

And how big was big enough for the little ones?

OP posts:
sunnyday123 · 26/02/2013 22:03

We've always gone for 8ft but my mates hav even larger ones for their kids! Think we got ours in tjs Hughes but can't remember!

sunnyday123 · 26/02/2013 22:04

Actually dh says we got it in b&q!

WiganKebab · 28/02/2013 15:34

8ft sounds more than big enough. Can two bounce at once?

We've had 6-7 at once when friends have been over, best investment we've ever made and great for fitness etc and fresh air!
