Hi all

I'm just dipping my toe in the water, so to speak.

I run a small company that provides some unusual activities for parties, ideally from ages 7 upwards. I won't say any more than that as I don't want to flout the rules on the Talk section.

I'm seriously thinking of paying to advertise on Mumsnet but i wanted to know
how many of you would turn to mumsnet for party ideas? And am I even on the right website for this, or is it really aimed at new mums with babies?

All comments welcome!!

I wouldn't, lol. But we are out in the far sticks and a fancy party like that would get me frowned at. Plus I hate hosting parties, anyway (hate all the tat they get).

Isn't it only £25 to advertise? How long do the ads stay up for?
Allow MNers to take the mick heartily and the thread will stay near top of Active Convs for longer & you will be remembered better & more likely to get custom in long run. Handle the mickey-taking with good grace & folk will like you even better.

I wouldn't as I think 'themed' parties are totally OTT & ridiculously expensive - but then I am more than happy (and capable Grin) or organising my own child's party - it really doesn't phase me at all - book hall, cook food, organise games, supervise fallings out, clear up & go home. But I do know lots of parents who find that sort of thing totally outside their comfort zone. Same with swimming parties - it costs ££££s to book a pool, we just took six friends, paid on entry, picnic afterwards - job done Grin.
