Have invited too many 3 yr olds - how should I handle the party?!

DD's 3rd bday at the weeknd. 11-1pm. Due to the random nature of 3 yr olds and the fact that some were ill who are now 'better'....we have now too many kids coming. Possibly 12. AT OUR HOUSE. Shock - we have a small hoose.

Have hired a bouncy castle which will be OK if the weather holds out - if not, god knows...Have booked a face painter for 1 hour. Have 1 game organised of Pass the Parcel.

Now am absolutely terrfied that will have to 'entertain' the rest of the lil buggers darlings....any ideas on what else I could do, or when?! Smile

BTW, not one bastard has RSVP-ed - even though we handed out invites over 2 weeks ago, is that plain rude, or just me?

If they haven't RSVPed how do you know they're coming?

Hi there, We did the same thing with our 3 year old last month and ended up with 28 children. Luckily the weather was fine so they played in the garden. Totally knackering though. We didn't play any games as we thought it might be a struggle to get them all to sit still for pass the parcel etc. Is it too late to hire a church hall near you and just let them run wild for a couple of hours?
It does fly by, they run around, eat food, run round some more then home time.
Out of 28 invites, I got 2 RSVP via text. I was a bit schocked by that, but in then end I just assumed they would contact me if they couldn't make it. Good Luck and don't forget to stockpile gin and tonic for the evening!

Balloons.

An emergency DVD if it rains.

NoteSpelling - exactly. We DON'T know who's coming. I'm hoping/assuming they will come, have forked out enough on 'things' in case we have a 'full' house - if not, am hoping stuff can be stashed for another time...

Stealthsquiggle - balloons. You're right! Hoorah. Will also leggit to Clintons and get some of those big foil balloons too.

Am just nervous I guess. 6 kids from nursery. but 2 older boys (5) - for my 4yr old boy. And possibly 3 'family' friends + their kids but they're not her friends IYSWIM...

tbh if they've not RSVPed then I'd be panicking for the opposite reason.
can you contact them directly to see if they are actually coming?

(It is DS's 5th party on Sat and everyone has rsvped by now.)

i would contact people to check numbers if you can.

recently had a party for ds4, i think we had about 18? 3-4yr olds i hired a hall tho!

also had a face painter who the kids LOVED she ended staying the whole 2 hours as they all got hands, faces, arms etc painted they just kept going back for more!

did pass the parcel and also had a bunch of toys out for them to play with, then food, cake etc.

balloons, dvds, an easy activity is buy rich tea biscuits and some of those icing pens you get a 5 in a packet? and they like decorating biscuits and eating them!

fingers crossed for no rain so the bouncy castle is a goer, OR depending on how tall the bouncy castle is any chance of a gazebo type thing to go over it so they can go on it anyway?
